Dr. Patricia Yih

I am a medical doctor blessed with family and good friends.
My interest in photography started at a tender age when my mother gave me a Kodak Instamatic.
I travelled to the United Kingdom as a child to visit relatives where the vistas were new to me.
Later, when i returned to London and Cambridge for further medical training, I frequently escaped to Scotland to climb Ben Nevis.

I was fortunate also to have my Aunt introduce me to the works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
In London, I attended my first Camille Pissarro Exhibition at the Tate. I have since attended many more exhibitions, including the Wu Guanzhong collection at the National Art Gallery in Singapore.
My latent interest in photography was rekindled by an eminent eye surgeon. I started “Birding” with the Leica 114. The quest for the perfect camera took me through different forms of photography as well.
I was immensely inspired by two safaris within six months to Tanzania in 2018 and 2019.

It is my privilege to participate in this festival.
